    A naturally occurring biopolymer peptide (a chain of glutamic amino acids) derived from fermented soybeans. It has exceptional water-binding properties holding 5,000 times its weight in water, better than Hyaluronic Acid (HA), making it a potent moisturising ingredient. However, unlike HA, PGA also has antioxidant properties, inhibits the production of melanin and potentially prevents hyaluronidase, which is the enzyme that breaks down the natural hyaluronic acid in the skin.
